As you like it by William shakespear

'As you like it' has Happy comedy by William shakespear

  • Review about shakespear famous comic play “As you like it”
As we studies about great shakespear and we see that in our literature in shakespear plays are very famous and also image of England. In our literature has in shakespear dram has very philosophical thinks, tragic end and also comic scenes in the play. He is considering a junior’s playwright as well as poet in English literature. The play ‘As you like it’ opens with the reference of you death of sir. Rowland but Oliver the eldest disliked Orlando and it treated him.  The play has run way and two brothers Duke senior and younger Duke Fredrick. In the play Rosalind was daughter of Duke senior and her friend, cousin Celia, daughter of younger Duke. In the play has triangle love story and how shakespear made characters are comic and how other male characters are react them. In the beginning of the play Charles the wrester of Duke Fredrick is defeated by Orlando in the wrestling. Both Rosalind and Celia were present at time, both favors to Orlando and Rosalind like him.  When Duke Fredrick came to know that Orlando was the son of Sir. Rowland, he was displeased with his identity because he believed Sir. Ronald his enemy. While Duke Fredrick changed his attitude to Rosalind banished her from his court. Celia also goes way with Rosalind to the forest of Ardennes. They are change their identity, Rosalind is disguise as Ganymede and Celia as servant Alien. Both take with them and both want way to the forest and here the play has scene to comic and mystique to Orlando life and how he know that to love to Rosalind and take to Ganymede as Rosalind.  In the play has triangle and love story of three paring, Duke Fredrick sends Oliver with army soldier to find out Orlando. We see those how two brothers are leave together and other side Orlando love to Rosalind. In the play playwright ahs to gives comedy and stage performances audience has know about this men are not women as Rosalind, Ganymede. In the forest of Ardennes new a pair of lovers is introduced Phoebe is pursued by Silvius in love but she is rejected. then Phoebe love to Ganymede who is in fact Rosalind as women and while in the forest Orlando meet Ganymede and he consider in Rosalind that his a mentions are over powering him. And other sides Celia love to Oliver and here comedy are made them and end of that we find that in triangle love.  Orlando has Ganymede promise to cure and Orlando id he agrees resend that Ganymede is Rosalind one day. In the play has very comic and how characters are not know that in the play them. Rosalind is distraught until Oliver après who reconsiders the two lovers. Similarly, Oliver and Celia fall in love and then phoebe is disillusion and decides to marry Silvius. At the end of the play, Duke Fredrick also puts asides his worldly concerns and return the Thorne to Duke senior. And we see that the end of the play is happy and in the play married has theme and Rosalind married to Orlando, Celia married to Oliver, Silvius married to phoebe.

The entire plays have been dived into the five acts and subdivide into several scene of the play. The playwright he projected confusion or complications have been solved one after other in the play. There are natural subdivisions of dram in the plot structure of “As you like it”. As the progress of the play there is a rising action and wrestling in the play. And we know that in the play in three pair of lovers are intermingled and they are adding of the complexities of the plot.

So we conclude that in this play has many comic character and many a time tragic and laugh has in many scene in the play. And the playwright has ideas of love and married at theme. And he also gives England heritage, culture and wrestling as game in society.
