                               ‘Emma’ by Jane Austen

  • ·       Review about Jane Austen novel  ‘Emma’
As we studies about Jane Austen has Victorian novelist and we see that her most of novel in female characters are center. her work are notorious novels like ‘Emma’, ‘Pride and prejudice’, ‘sense and sensibility’, ‘Mansfield Park’, ‘Persuasion’ etc. Jane was writing her novels, England faced the early feminist consciousness, abolitionism, war with France and its post –revolution tension, along with the Strained relationship with the newly independent America. her best one novel “Emma” has social and psychological ideas of  their novel in protagonist Emma has every time miss matching, means we see that Jane ideas and her desire to love of in there novel characters play them. This novel begins by delineating a variety of contesting moral view points. In novel Emma has protagonist and she speak that ‘I’m handsome, clever and rich with a comfort.’ we see that this kind of attitude to Jane, herself. And Mr. Woodhouse has father of Emma and Isabella, her husband john knightly leave in town. And we see that Emma has love and like to an aged man George knightly.  In novel, she is very innocent and every times miss matching to person and she not think about that Harriet as servant in Mr. martin, George to Jane, Jane to frank Churchill, Frank to Miss Bates etc. we see that Jane Austen  has  given desire of married and matching together. In time pass way, Emma has to spurious and she is meet to Jane Fairfax and her attitude and simple life of that ,  Emma says that Jane like to George and both are married each other. But in other side Frank engaged secretly and all are know them. At time Frank married to Jane Fairfax. And Emma’s servant Harriet married to Mr. Martin. Here we find that her desire and ideas are wrong and she matching wrong partner. Emma has no speak to Harriet, but her lode and like to George knightly and end she married to George. As our society create to rule and regulation but in novel party and richness of main them. People every time ask them and family has to focus of reality. Jane has to sensitive, feeling and emotional attachment to George knightly.

Jane Austen has portrait to Emma character is herself and we know that Jane has feminist novelist, her characters are morality and rules follower them. In novel, Emma like the others Frank on the basis hearsay, but Mr. knightly is inclined to be somewhat skeptical in this respect. She feels that the high opinions which had been expressed by most people about him were fully justified. She has at unexceptionable and his countenance had a great deal of the spirit and liveliness of his father. But we know that in this novel main theme is married. In the novel end that follows kind of married in novel.

  • ·       Moral values in the novel ‘Emma’
We studies about biography in Jane Austen life and she is leave the village and how her life most of them to sensitive, emotional and knowledge of them. Most of novel in female face problems and emotional and intelligent characters, both are in her most of the novel in them. We learn this particularly thought our understanding of Emma’s faults. For Emma’s aloof relation to others her willingness to treat them as toys or counters, her over- practices view of the good quality. She sees simply as ensuring for its possesses a good match, these become significant betrayed of human possibility. We see that social and moral universe of the novel takes on all the weight of its significance here. And we see that Emma’s faults are not minor ones to be treated lightly, but total violations of a whole worthwhile universe. This novel is Jane Austen’s masterpiece because she has accomplished the difficult task of portraying resolving disharmony deriving entirely from within the heroin herself.  And we see that the critical intelligence is everywhere involved because we are asked continuously to judge what seeing are. And we see that Jane Austen has novelist, novel inculcates objectivity though Emma’s progress from self deception and vanity to perception and humanity.

  • ·       Emma’ – An Ironic comedy

We read this novel ‘Emma’ is a comic novel. It is a novel concerned with the comedy of manners in such a way. There is the straightforward humorous treatment of Mr. Woodhouse and Miss. Bates as comic characters. While miss. Bates’s absurdities make her a kind of test case of Emma’s power of responding to other people. And we see that what makes them most comic to reader is his sense of a complete different possible explanation for Mr. Eliot’s actions. The operative principle is in short an irony that works against the heroin. And we see that irony domination novel. It is contrived thought the device of an all knowing narrator who is able to offer a different set of value and it concerns almost always the different between what characters judgment about other. Jane was greatly amused by “Follies and nonsense, whims and inconsistencies’’. Jane’s method of social comedy in these centers in the ironic contracts between what the heroins believes herself to be. And we says that Jane Austen has to give ultimate ironic vision implies that life is ironic.

so we conclude that Jane Austen novel ‘Emma’ has novelist herself and we know that her most of the works in women are center and how they face problems between society and no] one can to sports them. Male characters are intelligent and respect to women, and Jane has to moral and social power in this novel.
